InFocus A2 with 30GB 4G data from Reliance

InFocus has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India today. Called A2, the smartphone is priced at Rs 5,199 and will be offered in black and champagne gold color options. The company announced the launch of the smartphone via its official Twitter handle. The smartphone will be sold only across offline retail channels.

As a part of the introductory offer, if you are a Reliance Jio user buying the infocus, you can avail up to 30GB free data. Apart from that, customers who purchase the smartphone using their MobiKwik wallet will also receive a cashback up to Rs 300 in the form of Supercash. After the cashback, the Infocus A2 will effectively cost you Rs 4,899.

InFocus A2 specifications and features

The smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. At the heart, there is a Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core chipset with all the four cores clocked at 1.3GHz paired. It is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a microSD card slot for further expansion.

On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 5-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The front camera also comes with a beauty mode to make you look good in your selfies. The smartphone has connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port. The InFocus A2 is armed with a 2,400mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to last the whole day with full charge. On the software front, the smartphone boots Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

terms of competition, the InFocus A2 will compete with already established smartphones such as the Xiaomi Redmi 5A,10.or D and Nokia 2. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant. The 10.or D is priced at Rs 4,999, whereas the Nokia 2 is available at Rs 6,999.
